TBH I'd be very worried if Ireland were drawn against Northern Ireland in the playoffs. Ireland are obviously the better team on paper but the Northern Ireland manager has them well set up and I reckon they'd have the beating of us.

Ireland won't need to worry about the playoffs if we beat Denmark tomorrow but I have absolutely no faith in that happening.

I see the Irishman at Feyenoord hasn't played in several months. I read a few articles where Dutch journalists were criticising his signing. I did think it was a very strange move from the beginning.

I wouldn't mind more Irish players playing in countries like Holland, though. Jack Byrne did well at Cambuur and Daniel Crowley at Willem II.

Pity Irish players can't see beyond the UK when it comes to making a living from football.

Yeah pretty weird, because we do have plenty of Irish expats in Holland, but the footballers still rather go to the UK. I believe the Eredivisie would be a great platform for Irish players as a step before they maybe go to bigger clubs.

I think Liam Kelly came at the wrong time we still haven't found the right balance on the midfield and we are almost halfway the season. The fans are mostly make fun of his height, but after a few matches in the beginning he hasn't played much. But I won't write him off just yet.

I feel Steven Gerrard has made Rangers a quite formidable force in Europe again and Alfredo Morelos always looks likely to score at this level, whereas Feyenoord have been pretty woeful up to know and have been destabilised by Stam's sacking.

Juventus lose 3-1 to Lazio. Inter are now two points above Juve and Lazio are just three points behind Juve with a much superior goal difference. It looks like there may actually be a title race this year.

Juventus, and CR7 especially, will want to break their Champions League duck as well so there's a possibility Juve focusing on that will play into Inter's hands. I can't see Inter doing much in the Champions League, though Lautaro Martinez is a possible ace in the deck.

I'm rooting for Inter with Stefan de Vrij, I think he's at the same level as De Ligt and Van Dijk he has been for years also, one of the best in the WC in 2014.
