Is this general area still even remotely Italian? I've heard people describe it as a "mini Kensington." Considering 10th and Wolf was a long standing Philly family corner, I find this odd.

Kudos for understanding population growth is essentially required for GDP growth. USA is very easy to understand , ask me why Govt did this or that and the reason 99% of time is MONEY $$ lol . South Philly has all the Major Cambodian and Vietnamese gangs that have been in the USA since the 1970s. I don’t think any of the South Philly LCN Guys fuck with them though. The Vietnamese/Cambodians mainly do drugs, whores, and steal from their own people. There have been a few major Vietnamese Drug dealing gang murders in Philly if you Google. The Vietnamese absolutely LOVE to gamble, just go to Sugarhouse in Philly or AC and they have their own gambling sections. They don’t fuck with sports betting though, they have their own games from Asia they like to play. I don’t even know how to play them and I’m a degenerate gambler.

Philly is known as having quality dope and I wonder where this areas dope is sourced? Likely still Asia so I wonder what the OD rates look like compared to other areas. A major reason Fetanyl has flourished here and not Europe is Europe gets quality dope from Afghanistan and Asia, Purer & no need to spike to with Fetanyl

I personally don’t think there is a solution to this problem but legalizing all drugs ( only Givt can sell, no marketing, early education and easy access to treatment is only way to mange).

Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar region definitely is a major heroin source. Seems like that racket is mostly being exploited by Chinese and to a lesser extent Vietnamese OCG's.
I heard about the Vietnamese drug-related murders in Philly a few years ago. Some of the Vietnamese gangs seem to have bigger, more organized networks. Some of them make quite a bit of money from counterfeiting, heroin, pot grow houses...

Cambodian gangs I'm familiar with Tiny Rascal and a lot of the Blood and Crip gangs they emulate, but it doesn't seem to go much beyond low level drug selling and stealing from their own.
