Just been re-reading some stuff about NIcky Scarfo and I read his son hanged himself at the age of 17 because his classmates tormented him for being a mafia boss's son, something I haven't noticed before. I am against crime, particularly the mafia, but in this case my first thought was Nicky should have whacked the bastards, every single one of them. Underage people can be so heartless, even more than adults. Really, driving a boy to suicide just because another person (his father) is a scumbag! Do crimes like this (provoking someone's suicide) ever get really punished, apart from on paper?
Does anybody know how Mark Scarfo is now, is he still in coma?

What's so tragic is that Scarfo disowned him after that incident. He said to Phillip Leonetti that he can't bring that kid down to South Philly no more... According to Scarfo he'd become an embarrassment. What fucking logic. Scarfo was nuts!

Yeah I'm a little confused as to why anyone would bully a wise guys kid. My Dad was arrested in Rockford, IL numerous times, twice for bookmaking, once for running a gambling op and once for extortion. The kids I went to school with at my Catholic School had fathers who were members of the Rockford Crew of the Outfit. If anyone was to have said anything ill willed or bullied me about my Dad i would drop that person. Period. My Dad wasn't anything big but a couple of my friends Dads were real deal guys and I just couldn't see anyone saying shit about their Dads, and if they did it would have been them saying how badass and cool it was.

But either way, it's very sad that Scarfo's boy chose to take his own life because some fucking rotten punk teenagers were tormenting them. If that was my brother and he committed suicide I would see red and make whoever was bullying him hurt very badly. I wouldn't even kill them, I would slowly inflect various types of torture on them so they would never treat someone like that again. I've always despised people who get pleasure out of hurting other people's feelings and bullying. It's a major problem now a days and the school systems do a horrible job of stopping it.

My Mom always told us boys that you should never treat other kids that way. You don't know what type of home life that person had or what type of long term damage your doing to that person. For all you know, that poor kid goes home everyday and gets abused at home. Then he goes to school where he feels an escape from his home life, and then he gets bullied and abused at school. No one would be able to handle that constant torment. And that's why kids end up taking their life. It's just sad. And what's even sadder is the parents of bullies, their shit parents and they are more than likely bullies themselves.

caramela ,Mark was a great all around kid good at sports real good looking showed no signs of killing him self .Yes kids said stuff but he was well liked.When his dad got locked up 2nd or third time that was it ....being in that house with his dad was like living with the devil..him and Marks mom hated each other .and you could hear it each day her name is MiMi .And she still takes care of him. Now Chris sells property and holmes and yes he is a partner with someone and does good .And he is lejit....Chris hated being in the house between step mom and his dad he was out very young...But he did hang down in the office with us often,,,And him and phil were very close..now nicky jr was diff .do u want to know anything on jr.

Chris Scarfo now known as Christopher Ferry has been in the insurance business since the late 1980's. He has a office in South Jersey and he has another in Florida where i believe he now spends most of his time. He has 2 or 3 sons and one of them, to me at least, resembles Nicky Scarfo jr. He's 100% legit and always has been.

In his book Leonetti said Chris and Nicky Sr argued about everything. Too bad Chris couldn't get Mark out of that place before he tried to kill himself. Mark was a good kid.

Giancarlo close it is Farley & Ferry Realty Inc. ventnor nj and he dont look like nicky jr. he and phil look more a like .and yes him and his father did argued a lot and he did not get along with MiMi .But he was at the office all the time and did help all legit .Nicky sr. had a problem with seamed like all .He does look like his dad also .i was there 70s thru mid 90s .

No no I don't think Scarfo disowned him. It's been taken out of context. When Nicky said "if Mark recovers, he can't go back to South Philly (where he had the problems) and may trigger him to whack himself again.

I feel bad for all the Scarfo kids. One tried to top himself. Other wants nothing to do with his dad. One almost got whacked and is going to do heavy time

And I know how they feel, my dad is extremely controlling. The only way to truly break free is to sever all ties. I've considered moving abroad but even that won't solve anything, he'd prob come and visit/ stay at my place which would drive me even more nuts

You have it real close with Mark and you are right about out of context,everyone takes it that way cos of the old mans rep.. Chris loves his father ,but did change his name for legitimate business reasons.
Don't be fooled by Chris he is street wise and grew up in that house and helped get many things off the ground.

First off im sure he had no idea who did what to his son. Secondly Scarfo was more embarrassed by his son. Scarfo didn't give a damn about his sons. Chris Scarfo was the only son who told his father to "go screw himself" and then went on to make a legitimate life for himself

Is this picture below of Mark Scarfo legit? If so, anyone seen it before? Seems to be from the Courier-Post from Camden, NJ from November 6, 1988. Sorry if it's a repost, I had never seen a photo of Mark before. RIP to the young man.

That is definitely Mark and definitely Jr.

They both wore hats during the day but Mark would where a hat constantly , not that that hats have any thing to add but that’s how they looked everyday .

Jr. looks around 16-17 and Marks picture has been around for years and shown in a couple papers if not more. I think they were taken around the time they were both having trouble in High School obviously a couple years apart.

Jr. may be a little older than 16-17 in that photo. Looks like he has a beard unless that's the lighting.

Possibly , Mark has signs of a beard and he hung himself at 17 .

Myself and many of our Italian friends had beards and were shaving at 15 it’s common.

Jr. Started losing weight around 16 and weight he had since a little boy is gone ..... he was chunky and his face was much rounded when he was a kid and young teen.

So he is older 16 and I don’t think he is 20 yet .

Mark was always slender he was built like his dad but taller then sr. probably was at that age
