"Justice already knew in 2017 that Taghi wanted revenge through family of witnesses"

As early as 2017, the judiciary was aware of plans Ridouan Taghi made to liquidate family members of 'traitors'. Het Parool reports this on Monday on the basis of deciphered messages that the newspaper has viewed.

In a message to his wife he would have written that, in addition to the traitors themselves, he was also going to "send their children, mothers, sisters, fathers to hell".

This is striking, because there appears to be mistakes in securing the family of crown witness Nabil B. For example, the crown witness did not want it to be announced that he had made statements about Taghi and the group around the man until the man in question was arrested.

Justice did this anyway and just a week later B.'s innocent brother Reduan was shot at work in Amsterdam. The newspaper sketches that only after it was announced that B. had made statements, preparations were made to protect the brother of the crown witness.

According to Het Parool, this is largely due to the fact that the responsible department of the Public Prosecution Service (OM) received only limited information about Taghi from the department of justice leading the investigation. Justice does not want to respond to the newspaper.

OM keeps the man responsible for multiple liquidations
The OM holds Taghi responsible for multiple liquidations (including Samir Erraghib's and the Hakim Changachi assassination) and being involved in international drug trafficking. A reward of 100,000 euros has been promised for the tip that leads to his arrest.

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, hearings are held in the case against eight men suspected of having been part of the murderous gang around Taghi.
