Don't know if there are any metal fans on here but currently I'm at the country's big heavy metal fest. The past few days I saw gigs from Aborted, Phil Anselmo and his band playing a Pantera set, Death Angel, Whitechapel, Hatebreed, Crowbar, Testament, Cult of Luna, Amon Amarth, Slayer ( final Benelux show  ), Immolation, Behemoth, Clutch, Lamb of God and Slipknot. Sadly I had to miss Candlemass and King Diamond due to scheduling conflicts and while waiting for the bands I wanted to see, I had to suffer through a few bands I think are rather shite. Today on the menu are Orange Goblin, Power Trip, Gojira, Insomnium, Possessed, Cradle of Filth and Carcass. I'll probably be able to pick up some of the Kiss show as well. PS: Ending up in a Slayer pit is a painful thing.

I'm not a big time melodic metalcore guy, but I do like me some of the older stuff by Killswitch Engage, Zao, Poison the Well, Darkest Hour, Parkway Drive, Unearth...or of course the mathcore stuff from The Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge, Botch...and the metallic hardcore stuff from Hatebreed (mainly the older stuff), Integrity, etc...
