Regarding Cali and his niece, unless the niece gives her side of the story, we don't know what happened between them. Maybe she didn't want to see that guy anymore. The 2nd Amendment is there so private militia's can be as well armed as the military to oppose tirany. Theoretically, the founders essentially believe that private citizens should be able to own fighter jets and tanks. Now, that isn't how it has been applied since the inventions that reshaped modern warfare (automatic guns, tanks, aircrafts, missles). The founders never envisioned as strong a central government that currently exists, with a massive military. I'm not saying the 2nd amendment should be enacted in how it was meant to be created. But, it wasn't primarily about hunting or protecting your property from other individuals within the states, it was about militia's being formed to oppose a tyrannical government such as England's rule over the colonies.
Woah, I never made the connection between Lorenzo Mannino and the Inzerillo, Spatola, Mannino, Castellano, Gambino, and Di Maggio families of Palermo. He's related to those Manninos right?
