I am working on a project for grad school relating to the LCN and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of anything about LCN made men/associates (esp. from the 1980's/90's) who disappeared?

Michael (Dutchie) Avicolli from Philly. I don't know if he was made or just an associate. He disappeared under Merlino's watch. Ralph Natale claimed he was killed for messing around with another mobsters wife, his body has never been found.

Paolo renda Canadian guy. Mangano (old Gambino boss). John favara (ran over gotti kid). There was a short made Gambino soldier in the 60s who disappeared can’t remember his name but he was high profile done some big hits

September 1968. Frank Mari, and I think you are thinking of Michael Adamo both disappeared. It was Gaspipe that revealed that Christy Tics crew of the Lucchese family took care of it on behalf of the commission. According to Casso, they were the ring leaders of a plot to remove the current Bonanno administration, notably Paul who was picked by the commission as boss, all families ordered their deaths and the contract was given to the 19th Hole crew.

James Squillante is the Gambino member who disappeared in 1960s.

Billy Battista, Gambino associate/informant.

He was suspected of being buried on a chicken farm in New Jersey along with other bodies. The property was known as a mob graveyard of sorts. I don't think they ever actually found Strollo though.

Frank Amato- Pauls son in law. Not a made guy but associate who was made to disappear by the demeo crew.

Anthony "Buddy" Luongo is probably one of the best examples. He was gonna be made boss before Vic and Gas killed him. Pretty sure his body was never found. You could write a lot about the buildup, and aftermath, to that.

Not mentioned yet; but Joe Guglielmo. He was a close cousin to Roy Demeo. He was one of the more violent members of the Demeo crew and involved in a pornography ring. During the early 80's when the FBI started tracking down the Demeo crew; He disappeared. Some say he was murdered by his own crew to stop him from becoming a rat.

Roy DeMeo's son Albert says he drove Joe to the airport and he was never heard from again.

His body has not been found.

He was spotted down in the Miami area the summer after Albert drove him to the airport. There is also a poster that said some Philly members claimed he was living in the Pocono Mountains.
