Glad to hear that you guys are okay. What a sad, sad story. SC - I know what you mean. Two years ago, some guy tried to jump off the Tappan Zee Bridge at rush hour. He was hesitating and they spent several hours trying to talk him down. After awhile, people were getting out of their cars and encouraging him to jump, just so they could get on their way! Only in NY!! TIS - Forget 5th Ave. Come out here and I'll take you downtown to Century 21. As they say, deisgner labels, but not at designer prices! One of the best shopping experiences I've ever had!

SB, That's true? People were encouraging this guy to jump??? That's hilarious in a sad sort of way. California is the opposite, in a way. People are so lay-back that they'd stop and watch it as it unfolds. They'd probably be broadcasting something like that on tv. :p Just like all the looky-loos on the freeway who have to slow down to see everything little thing that's that's happening, causing traffic to come to a stop. Speaking of NYC though, I just must know, is the naked cowboy still around??? Or is he hibernating for the winter? TIS

Geez! Another one that is in Don Cardi territory and doesn't invite him out for a drink! I'm starting to get a complex here! Don Cardi [/b][/quote]DC my friend, my husband and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton last June for our birthdays. It was the most ridiculous amount of money we ever spent to stay anywhere, and it was worth every penny. We stayed on the club level, where you get five food presentations per day, and the lounge has an open bar. Our room had views of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and even had a telescope! There was a bath menu in the tub, but that was just too weird for me. I highly recommend it to anyone who has several hundred dollars to burn and wants their butt kissed at every possible moment.
