This article here sums a lot of things up better than I ever could. http://sbcsentinel.com/2018/07/mexican-mafia-looking-to-carry-out-hits-on-da-and-sb-police-chief/Basically it’s been rumored and alleged that San Bernardino county DA Mike Ramos has had some sort of working relationship with the Mexican Mafia. The article goes more into detail on how lenient the DA office has been for several years regarding Mexican Mafia cases in the area, including within the San Manuel Tribe reservation and casino. Recently there’s been quite a few hits of various members associated with the organization. The one that really caught my eye last year was the hit on Carmen Rodriguez who was the wife of a Mexican Mafia member from the area (West San Bernardino). Sure, Mexican Mafia has people killed quite often, but a members wife? That’s a bit out of the ordinary. Then just three months later, her husband Andrew Rodriguez who was locked up in pelican was taken out. We know there’s this struggle over who controls The San Bernardino area gangs. At the center of all this going back well over 20 years is Salvador Hernandez who has tried to maintain control over this region since the late 90’s. Recently, 5 indivuals were finally charged for the murder of Carmen Rodriguez. A few of the men charged were already in prison when the charges were filed. One of them was Eric Moreno, a Westside Verdugo Crazy Ones gang member was killed by his cell mate just a few days after the charges were filed. Also a supposed green light on at least one of the others involved in the killing of Carmen Rodriguez, or maybe all 5. An illustration of Hernandez’s vindictiveness in this regard is the case of Andrew Rodriguez, a Mexican Mafia gang member, and his wife, Carmen Gutierrez Rodriguez. Precisely what Andrew Rodriguez knew about the Mexican Mafia’s operation that would have been a dire threat to Hernandez and how much of that he shared with his wife can be speculated about but at this point cannot be precisely known. This much can be determined: Hernandez had some grounds to believe that the couple knew something and that there was at least a possibility they would let it slip. On Wednesday January 18, 2017 around 9:25 p.m., as Carmen Rodriguez was coming out of Gaby’s Cafe, located at 1641 North Mount Vernon Avenue on the west side of San Bernardino, she was gunned down. At that moment, her husband was some 650 miles north at California’s only supermaximum state prison at Pelican Bay. Three months later, one of Hernandez’s Mexican Mafia operatives inside Pelican Bay Prison was able to get to Andrew Rodriguez. It was a clean hit. Exactly who killed him is not known. The city of San Bernardino is one the worst drug infested places you’ll ever find. I’m assuming this is why a guy like Hernandez is so hell bent on keeping the territory all to himself.

Yeah, I’d say it’s easily one of the worst cities in the US. One of the worst cities that’s never talked about. But being around the city and knowing so many people that live there, I like to shed some light on it when I can.

Torres was widely known as a moneymaker for the notorious prison gang, which controls multi-million drug, fraud, robbery and extortion rackets throughout the United States, in addition to having a hand in legitimate business. He had business interests in the San Fernando Valley, as well as alleged involvement in large heroin rings inside and outside of prison, authorities say. In 2019, Torres was the lone Mexican Mafia member to be indicted alongside more than a dozen alleged Aryan Brotherhood members and associates in a major racketeering case. Torres was accused of conspiring with Aryan Brotherhood leaders to distribute heroin, while others in the indictment were accused of murder conspiracies and fatal prison stabbings. Torres was initially housed in administrative segregation, but served as his own attorney and wrote several handwritten motions demanding to be placed back into general population, court records show. One such motion, filed in December 2020, says that his restrictive housing was affecting his ability to mount an effective defense and that the windowless cell caused him to suffer from claustrophobia. Imprisoned Mexican Mafia shot caller green lit thieving gangster – Man shot 8 times in back and head A green light seems like such a positive term. Unless it is issued by a member of the Mexican Mafia. When a person is green lit by them, it means certain death. Still, greed is a funny thing. Why not a bit of drugs and cash? How will the imprisoned shot callers find out? 47-year-old Johnny “Crow” Martinez (photo below) has been serving 15 years to life since being convicted of racketeering in 2016. He became one of the Mexican Mafia’s top bosses after the death of longtime leader Peter Ojeda in 2018.
