The African and Muslim birthrates dwarf the indigenous birth rates. Most manufacturing has moved to China and similar places. You should know this Mr Chen. In fact, please tell me Mr Chen, why do Japan and China admit so few immigrants. Why is it only the supposed moral duty of the West?

First, China didnt reject immigrants, there is simply not many people want to move into the country. China lacks a social welfare system thus is not attractive for immigrants. But even under this circumstance GuangZhou has already became a immigration city with more than six hundred thousand African immigrants.Secondly, the differentiation between normal immigrants and refugees should be emphasized. Refugees come to Italy because they are homeless and no where else to go, similar things happened in 1990s when Yugoslavia conflicts came out. It turned out refugees either went back to their homeland or integrated into local communities.
No the western countries has a huge demand for cheap labours, every material superiority in the west build upon the basis of cheap labour manufacturing in developing countries, and yet you refuse to share your living condition with some people need help. Besides, just as Furio said, if given opportunity, refugees are not likely going to stay in Italy.
Im not going to judge your concern about the pressure refugees brought on the social welfare system to be right or wrong. For me, the treatment of refugees can be reconsidered but it isn`t right to simply deport them. You are feeding them to poverty and death.

In fact SimonChen, plus the europa is a democracy while the China is a socialist dictatorship and in japan that is already overpopulated but has problems of racism (for example many Koreans or the Ainu aka the indigenous people of Hokkaido are still very discriminated, even if they are Asians)how would an African be treated?
But the question is:what are they running from?
by famine, wars, dictatorships they run away becausein this way have a chance to live than a certain death.
