There was a trail, and they were acquitted. They were still held ,and a lynch mob that was unposed went into the jail and attacked the men. Your memore is right;hennessy the police chief arrested many Provenzano and Matrangas men and was credibile that the killers was italians but a witness said that before died hennessy say "Dago do it" but another witness said the opposite anyway the hate against the italians was so high that the lynching was inevitable.
