I guess Moe and I are the only ones that think Skinny is done . Even Eddie will not be able to wash his priors , the NY jury are not going to fall for much of the Feds screwing up .

it does sound bad for merlino but its been kinda one sided reporting. i was just thinking remeber in the philly trial of joe ligambi when the owner of a video machine operation testified he was orderd by one of joes goons to sign over the company for like 80k and how it was way below the comapnys worth. think they also shot his father years before. how joe wasnt convicted of extortion is a mafia miracle but maybe there was stuff we didnt read in the papers the guy said on cross that made him less creditable. i could give 2 shits if hes convicted or not.

then after joe takes the guys video game operation je changes the name to something l n m enterrtainment after his last name and that guy moosie.

There was a pedophile priest in Boston sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2002 for grabbing a 10 year old boys ass over 10 years prior.

Going purely by guidelines and statutes it was a harsh sentence but everyone knew he was guilty of raping kids for over 30 years.

It's the same thing here except we're swapping a pedophile priest for a career criminal suspected in over a dozen murders (and, no, not all of his crimes and murders affect just other criminals).

And it's knowingly obtuse to condense his charges to "gambling" and "forged prescriptions". The guy came off a lenient prison sentence and immediately went back to breaking parole conditions by consorting with other mobsters in the open (John Ciancaglini), although he tried, and failed, to be less brazen.

He's caught red-handed on tape talking about murders, talking about being in the mob; ensconced in racketeering.

I don't really follow Philly much and really don't know about the charges but I can say if this guy is posting the truth out of there it doesn't look good if Rubeo is the only rat they have against Merlino. He is getting chopped up!

Rubeo’s credibility is completely shot. They only put him on the stand because thats all the feds have. They took a shot rather than do the right thing and drop the charges. Merlino walks.
