See Saverio Serrano the intended target?. There was speculation on Twitter at the time that the boyfriend was a son of Diego. An article by two Globe and Mail reporters last August 17 confirmed that Saverio was the intended target. The article also revealed that Tony Sergi, murdered two weeks after Barberi, was an associate of Diego Serrano. See Yup, it was Saverio.
