It is pouring like crazy here.

Yes, we got it here too last night and looks gloomy/cloudy this morning with more rain expected. We really need it, so I'm not complaining. Plus, I kind of like the rain. Sometimes I turn everything off (tv, or radio, etc) and just like to listen to it. On the other hand, I NEVER like to drive in it. Like every Californian knows, ppl hear can't drive in the rain!! LOL Freeways slow down to a crawl when it drizzles. ha ha

I wished it would pour here. We are in an "extreme drought" now, haven't had rain for like almost 70 days now and I'm not exaggerating. They are expecting bad weather in the South tomorrow and today but I'm hoping it hits here because we need the rain bad. Creeks are dry, lakes are pretty much dried up, and rivers are way down. People are deer hunting here with kiddie pools filled up with water, and that ain't no joke! This is the longest we have ever went without rain in the history of record keeping in the weather offices.

Hi TIS. Me too. I really enjoy the rain for a change. We started turning the heat on now at night. It finally feels like autumn. This morning on the trail people were wearing heavy coats, beanies and gloves lol It was only about 50 degrees out.

Don't even get me started about driving in the rain

Snowed up here in the High Desert last night and today. We're at 5600 ft. and temp didn't get below freezing, so it melted. At this altitude, we can get snow when the temp. is as high as 42.

We finally got rain but got the tornadoes too. Currently under a tornado watch until 10am. Monday we lost power in the first round of severe storms and was out 23 hours. I guess it's kinda ironic my power was out.

Now waiting on round 2 but luckily it doesn't look as bad. Last night was rough North of us though. 3 dead early on and heard a 24 hour daycare was hit with 4 kids in critical condition. Lots of damage in North Bama.

Police say Tuesday's brutal winter storm claimed the lives of two New Yorkers as they tried to clear snow in front of their homes.

One of the victims, a 47-year-old man, died after suffering a heart attack while shoveling snow outside his Staten Island home as the wind-fueled nor'easter dumped more than a foot of snow on parts of the tri-state area.



Police received a 911 call around 12:30 p.m., authorities said. Paramedics were at the home on Stobe Avenue in Dongan Hills within five minutes and found the man going into cardiac arrest, officials said.

He was taken to a hospital, where he died several hours later.

A 38-year-old man also died Tuesday afternoon after he fell ill while trying to clear snow in front of his home in Wallkill.

Police said Anthony Cantela was snowblowing during the storm when he began to feel unwell and suffer chest pains. He went inside and told his family he was feeling under the weather, then took a shower and went to relax in his bedroom, authorities said.


Officials say Cantela is also believed to have had a heart attack.

We had so much rain that all I see now are BUGS, mosquitos, all types of insects. This is pretty unusual for us. At night we can sit outside with minimal to no bugs. But this year it looks pretty bad. Has anyone who lives in Cali noticed this? I kill at least two mosquitos a day compared to maybe one every couple of weeks.

There are a couple of guys doing our front yard landscaping, taking out the grass putting in some plants and other shrubbery and rocks.

Tomorrow we have a chance at "long term, large and violent tornadoes" and up to "baseball sized hail" with various super cell thunderstorms which will produce the big boys. Many people have no idea that Alabama leads the nation in EF5 tornadoes, tied with either Kansas or Oklahoma I forget which.

But I hate days like tomorrow, you never know when it's your turn to get the bad shit. At least with a big line along the front you know when to hide but when these super cells pop up and drop a tornado in less than a hour it makes it hard to get to safety quick.

That sounds horrible, Dixie. And here I am worried about bugs. Hope everyone stays safe.

Well we got lucky and only had like 1 or 2 tornado warnings, but hail beat the living shit out of us last night. Just 10 miles up the road we had baseball sized hail, and no I'm not exaggerating. One of my mother's close friends lost 2 different windshields in it and a co-worker will be replacing a brand new Explorer hood and probably the roof too.

Glad everyone stayed safe. Too bad about all that damage to the vehicles. Wow! That was some hail storm.

Here in Germany we have had two days of strong wind and rain..

I froze my ass off here in Brooklyn, NY. I am still looking for it today.

My guys that removes the snow was not available yesterday. So I had to find other guys. Can’t find people to do it here near the water. I am in fairly good shape, but it to much area for someone my age to do by himself.

My wife found some one on Facebook. I am not on Twitter, Facebook or any other form of social media.

That was good. They told us there in the area and I got a price settled before they came they gave me the price I loved that I actually saved money. They came within 30 minutes after my wife made contact with them.

In TN for the week. 8° but wind chill makes it below 0°.
