If you could handle the disparities in Goodfellas I don't know how you couldn't handle this.

Paul Sorvino was a relatively handsome guy, well groomed and dressed for the role of Paul Cicero. Paul Vario looked like he really did run a cab stand, and nothing else, as opposed to running one as a front for his multi million dollar criminal schemes. Powerful man, but sure as heck didn't look the part.

Tommy De Simone was something like 6 feet tall and in his early 30's when killed. Pesci is like 4 feet tall and was in his 40's when filming GF.

Henry Hill looked like what he was, a drunk and a coke head.
Ray Liotta looks about like your typical a-list actor.

Jimmy Burke looked like a Russian serial killer dropped off in Siberia. He was played by Robert De Niro. And De Niro cleaned up well for the part.

Good grief. It's a Scorsese movie. Grab your popcorn and be glad he did another mob movie, and not another Howard Hughes type yawner. Some people just seem to be predetermined to ruin every simple pleasure presented to them.

"...the successful annihilation of organized crime's subculture in America would rock the 'legitimate' world's foundation, which would ultimately force fundamental social changes and redistributions of wealth and power in this country. Meyer Lansky's dream was to bond the two worlds together so that one could not survive without the other." - Dan E. Moldea
