Wicker Man, The 1973, Hardy, GB A policeman of mainland Scotland arrives on an island to investigate the disappearance of a young girl, and uncovers a pagan cult. A wonderfully crafted tale which is often humorous in its bizarre surrealism; eerie, subtle and very effective.
