As far as Merlino meeting Bellomo, the FBI was trying to snare Bellomo in the NY indictment. Either JC or GA reported that the investigation didn't get anywhere close to him. That might suggest he wasn't in the loop with Merlino.
Of course not, Bellomo's a smart, low key guy...He's not gonna sit down with a guy who who craves attention, drives around in a bentley, talks on a wire how easy it is to kill people and is basically forcing the feds to investigate him !!
