Well hell Alf! Now all those songs are stuck in my head. Madonne! So sorry. I have one that is NICE. Band on The Run and Silly Love Songs by Paul Mc Cartney and Wings. Those were the FIRST songs I ever heard that weren't Italian or nursery type songs. When I was about five we were down the shore, my Great Uncle handed me a little radio and I heard this beautiful voice and music. I handed him this doll I had. When you wind the arm the doll gets taller and grows boobs, swear to God. So, my uncle was fascinated with that doll, (he showed everybody) and traded me the radio for it True story.

I was just listen to an old song taxi by Harry Chapin. It was good. Remember the cat in the cradle by him. He died very young in a car accident in his 30s. He also made an sequel to taxi you can both Songs on youtube. Great songs, Foots. RIP. Another good singer from that era who died too young was Jim Croce. Time in a Bottle is one of my favorite songs. I like them both too. Like Bad LeRoy Brown also TIS.

I remember that you like ELO who just were inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame. I watched it on TV. If you can, see if you can find it on demand or maybe it will air sometime in the near future. Worth watching. I was up in your neck of the woods. Green River Road is so nice now how it goes through to Foothill. The freeway on and off ramps are so much easier to navigate now. My sis lives over that way so I was there these past few weeks. I was going to see if you were available for the Relay for Life Cancer Walk back in May. Way too hot. It was 90 degrees that day and I didn't show up until about 7 at night. Only walked 9 miles. If I'm up that way I'll let you know. If you come down by me then let's go to Cortina's, my treat. It's similar to Claro's. Enjoy your weekend! Edit: Claro's not Claire's, damn iPhone

Just listened to Pavoratti sing Nessun Dorma (among others) on a PBS show about him. He did duets with Sting and Bono among others. Madonne! What a talent.
By the way TIS and Alf, I really like ELO. In fact, this past week I was singing one of their songs in one of my classes and a student noticed and asked me if I like ELO. Beautiful voice he has. Other great songs are Torna a Surriento and Tu Ca Nun Chiagne. I loved him singing Caruso (Te voglio bene assaje) until I heard Lara Fabian sing it. She does a beautiful job. Take a listen. https://youtu.be/sCMGyzTdsUw(Jimmy Roselli is still my favorite singer when it comes to Italian music.) That's right. I should have included you in with TIS in regards to ELO. That's wonderful that a student from a newer generation would know who ELO is. Please give that student a pat on the back for me and a cookie : D Did you get to see them perform on the rock n roll hall of fame program? You must watch it.
