Crossfire **** (1st Time) 1947, Dmytryk, US An anti-semitic soldier drunkenly kills a Jew. Two other soldiers are also suspected. Gripping, compelling thriller driven by strong visuals and terrific acting. The dialogue and night-for-night cinematography are a treat to behold; it is also a B movie notable for daring to tackle such a touchy subject as racial hatred.
