"I'm in the Mafia," Lovaglio allegedly blurted out, according to court papers obtained by Gang Land. "I did 15 years in prison for racketeering. My license is suspended. I'm out on $50,000 bail for a felony assault bar fight, and I have a knife on me for protection in case I get into another bar fight."
I don't know. I don't think any mob guy, even one who is considering flipping is going to say that to a cop during a traffic stop. I might believe it if he confessed with his lawyer present in the prosecutor's office or FBI office. Do they actually call it "mafia"? I have no use whatsoever for mob guys, but this just seems really convenient for cops who must have it out for him. I don't think it's a coincidence that the police say he confessed after he had a fight with a cop.
