They gave Obama the Nobel Peace Prize to calm the right wingers who were labeling him as a Hitler. They wanted Obama to have the reputation as a pacifist peace maker, for his own safety.
Then they should have given it to W to calm all the left wingers who were calling him Hitler. Why not give every president the reputation of a pacifist peace maker 11 days or 3 weeks after he (or she) gets into office? Maybe they should have given Saddam Hussein one also to give him the reputation of a pacifist peace maker...maybe even Hitler himself...
