Gambino has about 16-17 active with some crews,about 3-4 having 15-20 members each .HB/Ozone Pk crews are literal armies ,Ronnie one arm Trucchio/Alphonse crew is a like a family inside the family and has been going strong for almost 30 years ! Gurino crew is also quite large ! Genovese, believe it or not has about 26 active crews and I believe the total numbers of active,semi active,retired are underestimated and have close to 285-300 members !The recruitment pool is pretty big still in HB/OZP For the Gambinos ! Between Middle village,HB,Ozp,Glendale,ridgewood,maspeth the Queens crews and associates are GIGANTIC !

There is a small pocket of Italians along Linden Boulevard. Hardly a recruitment area at all anymore. Seems like half of Howard Beach is up for sale, too. Middle Village and a bit of Maspeth are still Italian but tend to have more Bonanno's. Whitestone and Bayside are heavily Italian, and a bit of College Point. I just don't see how it is demographically possible for there to be "small armies" of crews in ozone/HB anymore.

I know it seems hard to believe or hard to see ,and your right Ozp and other areas listed have changed ! All I can say is ,You would have to have grown up there and be involved in things to know ! Nobody hangs out on the street anymore,anywhere ! Technology,Computers,internet,cell phones etc etc have changed everything ! The corrozzos and trucchios had,and have Gigantic followings and they are literal armies and they have interests in all types of businesses all over queens and huge parts of Nassau county that they regularly hang out at ,drink,do biz etc etc ! If you were at street level , and were passing through you'd have no clue whatsoever ,But,if you knew where to go on a weekday or a Fri.or sat night you'd know ! Bonnanos are also heavy in HB,Ozp ! And they hang out with,do biz with everyone, Latin kings, bloods etc ! The gangs are subservient and are the ones running the show on the streets !
