According to ESPN and other sources, there is a 75% chance the rematch happens in spring 2017.
Is this something to get excited about? I would rather Mayweather try to win a middleweight title or challenge one of the young guns if he comes back. Same with Manny; he beat a gatekeeper titleholder Saturday but there are plenty of better young challenges, most notably Terence Crawford.
I see a rematch as "second verse, same as the first".
