I heard that the gallo crew moved from colombo to a different family. Is it true ? After Joey Gallo died, the remnants of the Gallo crew started fighting among themselves. It was agreed, after several sit-downs, that Albert Gallo and his faction would transfer to the Genovese family, while the other faction of the crew remained with the Colombos.

In the sopranos i know that gigi become captain of the altieri crew (i think) In the same family a made man can be a capo of various crews but I never heard that a gambino made man (for example) pass to the genoveses. The gallo crew is different joey gallo was the only made man, the others was only associates. Dont think to the sopranos, most things in the show are inaccurate.

Newark, New Jersey family did after the Commission disbanded them. They all did not go into one family, they went to the five New York City families, Elizabeth, New Jersey, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania families. That is why there are so many LCN still rubbing shoulders in Newark to this day. Also guys would transfer to the California families. Charles Battaglia was made into Los Angeles family, transfered to the Bonanno family. There are many cases of it happening even in New York, but a whole crew, I can only think Newark, NJ, Milwaukee, WI, and Rockford, IL.

Like the bosses needs to agree for it right ? Bosses of the two families have to agree to those transfers. In the case of Newark family. Their boss at the time Gaspare Amico was feuding with Joe Profaci from 1936-1937. After a failed attempt on Amico's life in 1937, he fled the country leaving the family without an official boss. The commission disbanded that family and the top guy slated to take over Newark family, Stefano Badami transferred to Elizabeth family. Newark family members went with those families, with a few heading to families west of the Mississippi river.
