There is not much honor among thieves anymore.
There never was any honor. It was very common for captains or important soldiers to steal a guy's girlfriend or wife when he was in prison. That was honor? The only people who got respect were high-level guys, guys with money and power. It's the same in the corporate world.
You are taking it wrong .
I am speaking from there point of view they very much consider themselves men of honor they were protecting other Italians and doing for other Italians then it all changed .
Not talking about black hand or any other groups ..but the Italian mob considered themselves men of honor.
