Suspected organized crime member gunned down in Ste-Thérèse
Published on: September 16, 2016 | Last Updated: September 16, 2016 8:02 AM EDT A man suspected of illegal tobacco trafficking was gunned down Thursday night in Ste-Thérèse, northwest of Montreal. No arrest has been made. The incident took place around 9 p.m. outside the home of the victim, a man in his 40s, who was hit by several bullets. Soon after, a burning vehicle was found in Ste-Adèle, 60 kilometres north of Ste-Thérèse. Leaving behind a burning getaway vehicle is a frequent modus operandi of organized crime killings. Police are working to establish a link between the murder and the vehicle. Due to possible organized crime links to the incident, the case has been transferred to the Sûreté du Québec. The victim was on a list of about 60 people suspected of being members of a criminal organization linked to illegal biker gangs and aboriginal organized crime who were arrested last March during an undercover police operation. That investigation involved undercover officers buying tobacco illegally imported from the United States to be sold in Kahnawake, Quebec and Six Nations, Ontario. Between August 2014 and last March, this organization imported close to 2.1 million kilograms of tobacco, which according to the SQ represents over $530 million in lost tax revenue. The victim of Thursday’s killing was expected to stand trial. http://montrealgazette.com/news/quebec/suspected-organized-crime-member-gunned-down-in-ste-therese?

Hmmmm, interesting seeing an HA guy go down. The guys who are now running the club are oldschool. Other 81 news from Quebec. Millions of dollars in cash found buried near former Hells Angels bunker Posted on 9/17/2016 3:18 AM by Sean McKeogh Police in Sherbrooke have unearthed around $45 million on a former Hells Angels compound. The money was buried in plastic buckets in various spots of land, and was only found after police received the tip from former gang member Sylvain Boulanger. According to the Journal de Montreal, Boulanger was paid nearly $3 million for his information. The site has been under police surveillance since many members of the Hells were arrested following 2009's Operation SharQC. Despite being fenced off, the grounds have been broken into on several occasions since being seized by the Quebec government. The most recent attempt to get into the compound occurred last month.

Hmmmm, interesting seeing an HA guy go down. Typical QC HA biker pattern, there's an endless list of people who've at one time enjoyed business links with the club and ended up dying at their hands pretty abruptly, the incident during the late 90's where a car-bomb by the angels killed a child on accident was also rolling with the red machine. Little odd fact of this case, the hitter allegedly hid behind one of the rolling trash bins waiting for the guy to come out, and was even confronted by neighbors asking why he was there. He told them to get lost and mind their own business, which they obviously did.. lol.
