Indeed, the Siggies in the Gambino family leaned on John Gotti to take Scarfo down and make Stanfa the boss.
Scarfo was an genovese guy so the gambinos wanted Stanfa so the family would go under them but Stanfa get life and Merlino win that runned under the genovese.
