My grandfather was a WW2 vet. The Pacific. I guarantee you he would support Kaepernick's right to protest. When Gramps went to the hospital in late 2002 for the last time, he had on a cap that said "Selected Not Elected", in reference to Bush stealing the 2000 election. Still remember my dad bringing his clothes home after he was no longer with us, neatly folded, with that cap on top. I'm not sure if you could call gramps a liberal, but he was definitely a Democrat.
