Does anybody remember or know of a mobster from Newark named Nicholas " Nicky Boy" Valvano? His name has appeared in a few books I've read about OC in the Essex County area, but I don't know much about him. His wife was the sister of Raymond Freda, a made guy with the Gambinos. I have heard he was a tough guy and with a Genovese crew. Can anyone shed any light?

I had read that Herb Gross belonged to John DiGillio of the Genovese.
