hell, Monroe wasn't the only dame under the mobs rule, probably half of them were toys for the wiseguys, roselli used to brag about all the Hollywood dames he humped. they have always been all over wiseguys.
In the days of the studio system the stars pretty much slept with whoever they were told to. This certainly included mob guys that were silent partners in many of the studios. Roger Ailes hasn't yet gotten the memo that these days are over.
