I read the article A.G., and I did not like it. if it means that my internet bill will go up severly like the article says.

then who is looking out for us, in congress, all they do is take from us. take, take, take, I hate congress.

but, don't forget what kind of audience sees them on T.V. maybe they wanted to reach the masses of people,[the family] to let them know of the horrors of isis.

The feds have smashed a mobbed-up pizza connection drug operation in Queens.

The owners of an Italian restaurant in Corona and their adult son are charged with importing 55 kilos of cocaine in a shipment of vegetables, it was disclosed Wednesday.

Gregorio Gigliotti, his wife Eleonora and their son, Angelo, own several businesses tied to the drug trafficking, including Cucino Amodo Mio on 108th St. in the neighborhood’s Little Italy section, according to a complaint.

The Gigliottis allegedly are associates of the ‘Ndrangheta organized crime group in Italy.

Twisted Sister Drummer AJ Pero Has Died

AJ Pero, best known as the drummer for heavy metal band Twisted Sister, has died. He was 55.

The news was posted on the official Twisted Sister Facebook page this afternoon. No cause of death was given.

The band, crew and most importantly the family of AJ Pero thank you for your thoughts and prayers at this time.

Hailing from Staten Island, NY, Pero was originally from NY-based band Cities. He joined fellow NY band Twisted Sister in 1982 and appeared on their debut album that year, Under the Blade. Although AJ Pero might not be a household name the way his bandmate Dee Snider is, the drummer was part of the core line-up of Twisted Sister that went on to find mega-success with 1984′s Stay Hungry, which yielded the hits “I Wanna Rock” and “We’re Not Gonna Take It”; he can be seen in the videos for those songs as well. His drums parts were a prominent part of those hits and helped define the anthemic heavy metal tunes of the genre.

Pero stayed with the Twisted Sister through 1985′s Come Out and Play, but left in 1986 to rejoin Cities. Twisted Sister lasted only a few more years before disbanding, but starting in 2007, the group has been periodically reuniting for projects and shows, of which Pero had been a part of, including the New York Steel concert to benefit the NYPD and FDNY Widows and Orphans Fund in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks on NYC.

In December 2013, Pero joined the heavy metal supergroup Adrenaline Mob, which just released its latest effort, Dearly Departed, last month via Century Media Records. Earlier this month, Adrenaline Mob kicked off a U.S. tour opening for Drowning Pool. Dates were scheduled through April 3rd, with a stop tonight in Poughkeepsie, NY. The band has yet to make a statement about Pero or of any revised tour plans.

All of us here at Geeks Of Doom are saddened by the news and extend our condolences to Pero’s family and friends. The hard rock/heavy metal world has lost a giant today.

High blood sugar, stress, swelling of kidneys, swelling of skin, lung problems, vision issues: These were some of the medical problems enumerated by lawyers for Thomas DiFiore, a 71-year-old Mafia member, at his sentencing on Tuesday in Brooklyn.

The lawyers were seeking to have Mr. DiFiore sentenced to just the 14 months he has already served in jail since his arrest on a debt collection charge. Judge Allyne R. Ross of Federal District Court instead gave him a 21-month sentence, which means he will be released in seven months.

Months are years to guys like him.

John Palazzolo, 77, a reputed street boss of the clan’s Bronx faction, got locked up Friday after federal law enforcement officials caught him meeting with other mobsters — a violation of his parole terms.

in past weeks, he was caught by surveillance having a suspiciously long meeting in the parking lot of a diner in Bayside, Queens with “Fat Anthony” Rabito, a consigliere of the Bonannos.

He also met with a mafioso with ties to reputed mob boss Michael “Mikey Nose” Mancuso, who has three more years left in federal prison for a murder rap and is believed to rule the family from the inside.

The feds feared the old gangster was conspiring to take over Bonanno operations in Queens — which could possibly unleash a wave of violence among rival factions.

Victor Gotbaum an influential New York labor leader who both fought City Hall and helped it survive during the 1970s fiscal crisis, died April 5 at his home in Manhattan. He was 93.

Was he working with or against the wiseguys? I'd like to know more about him.
