Peduto was involved in a stolen car operation in the Bronx that was affiliated with Vinny Basciano and the Bonannos. The Rudaj crew pressured Peduto for a piece of the business. Basciano sent two guys with machine guns to confront Colotti and tell him to back off but Peduto ultimately came to some private arrangement with Rudaj and Colotti.
