I work in the media and I have actually seen the first three episodes of the new season, and it does not disappoint! As for your questions, the only person that really returns is Chloe O'Brien, and since it is 18-months later, almost all of Counter Terrorist Unit is new people. One new character that the people on this board will appreciate is the one played by Louis Lombardi, or Agent Skip Lipari, from "The Sopranos". If you want more information about season four of "24", check out this article I wrote for the school newspaper.

I haven't seen season 3, as BBC stopped its contract with Fox just before (bastards).
Seen the original, and by far the best, season more than ten times, and LOVE it still today. Bursting with energy and twists at every turn. The first eight episodes ever are the best, where you don't know really who is who.
Season two didn't disappoint, but it became a tad predictable by the end of it. The Ali hours are better than the Cyprus Recording hours (arguable). But the plots to each season have soon become far too outrageous to maintain their suspense.
And Kim becoming a CTU agent was one of the main reasons why I'm glad I didn't watch season 3. If I ever get the chance to though (ie. picking up the DVDs cheap) I shall.
Enjoy. Mick

I cant believe it,there was no way for people in the UK to watch the 3rd season on TV?? I agree, the first season is great! But I think the 2nd was even better...well,without the stupid Kim scenes...Maybe the finale was not all that too,but the pace of season 2 was a killer,it was like season 1 on Ecstasy -even with the Palmer scenes which were VERY good at the end! As for season 3 - its still better than most TV shows, but not even close to season 1 or 2. Still,if youre a fan,you should watch it,if only for one reason : there is one scene with Chappelle that stands alone as the best scene in the entire 3-seasons of 24,If not one of the best scenes ever seen on TV-and I do not exaggerate. I wont say anything more-dont want to spoil it for you..

The Chappelle episode in the best single episode of the series and what I believe is one of the best overall single shows ever - you kind of just sit there open mouthed at the end of it. If you have watched the series to that point the entire episode was like WOW !!! I still 'question' the outcome if you know what I mean for those that saw it. Outside of Sports, 24 is probably the only show that I really make significant efforts to watch. Ok, I do watch AI but I do so for my kids. Actually 24 is starting in a few weeks and this season there will not be any 5 week interruption as in the past. I also believe it is Monday nights this year so although I will lose Monday Night Football, I will gain 24 so not a bad tradeoff. From what HSIG said, I am kind of glad Palmer is off, he was great in the first season, pretty good in the second but was really in the third. Time for some new blood.

and most important, what's the 'big problem' this season? season 2 - nuclear bomb. season 3 - deadly virus. Now what? - Yes, Keeler is now the president. His part, in the first three episodes, doesn't seem as huge as Palmer's was, but there are still 21 more episodes, mind you.
- About 15-minutes or so into the first episode, it is said that Kim is living with Chase somewhere in California or something, so no, she doesn't appear to be in this season.
- As far as the big problem, the first three episodes don't really let you in on that. It deals with some sneaky Muslims, and some Turks, but that is about all we're told. We soon know that something BIG is happening though, and the action picks up very quickly.
- There is a second plotline in the new season that is very reminiscent to the Kim/Teri kidnapping, and for fans of the show who loved season one, they'll definitely love this.
- Apparently Tony Almeida makes a guest appearance this season as well, seeing as how his name is listed in the cast on IMDb.com for episode eight, which is set to air on February 7, 2005. That should definitely be interesting, considering his current predicament, and all... ...
Hopefully that answers some questions...if you have any more, don't hesitate to ask, and I'll help you if I can!

You can also find all those articles on the Daily 49er\'s website , but they aren't as easy to find there as on my website.

Yea man I cant wait. With new eppisodes of 24, The Shield, The O.C., Lost, and this new show on ESPN called Tilt all coming (not to mention the NFL playoffs), this is most definetly a great time to be a tv fan.

Dude, if a huge fan of "24" like myself can wait a week between each episode and then buy the DVD and watch the season again when that comes out, you can surely wait for a week to see each new episode of "Alias". Trust me, it's not that hard to do, especially if you talk to your friends about what you think might or might not happen. Plus, you won't have to wait as long to see the season if you watch it on television as you would if you were waiting for it to come out on DVD.

I wasn't gonna mention the Tony Almeida thing either, but I figured it came on last night, the next time anyone will see that episode is when its released on DVD. So now, a day later, I figured it was safe to mention it. For those who missed it, well, now you know.

I have to guess, and that is taking a huge chance with this show, that we will learn that President Palmer, before his term ended and his withdrawel from the Presidential race, Pardoned Tony Almeda. Just a wild guess on my part. Don Cardi

According to IMDb.com , Palmer is returning towards the end of the season as he is listed in the cast list for the last six episodes or so, so that should be cool.

Man, just when I thought tonight's episode wasn't gonna go anywhere, they surprise you, not once, not twice, but THREE FRICKEN' TIMES!! I won't spoil anything, on account that some of you probably haven't caught tonight's episode yet.
