There was a documentary on YouTube about the big NY mob takedown in either 2008 or 2011.
That there isn't any more John Gotti’s does give the impression to the average person that the mob is gone. But if you follow the ongoing cases, the mob has continued to be very active in NY. And elsewhere to a lesser extent.
