I hope the G doesn't appeal. I'm tired of seeing tax dollars wasted on shit like this. Yes, I know if he broke the law he should be accountable, but still. How much money can go to trying to send guys to jail for crimes committed years ago? How much bullshit is going on now?
I'm not trying to say give crimes committed years ago a free pass but if they allocated that money to solve crimes that occurred last week wouldn't it be better for everyone? I don't know what I'm trying to say, I just think going after shit that happened 40 years ago doesn't make sense. Anyone agree with me or am I crazy?

Yous've gotta be fucking kidding me. I thought he was a goner.
It's pretty sad that the fed can't put away this kind of low hanging fruit.

the family should give him some money for being a stand up guy and make him retire. Will never happen because: 1. You don't get special treatment for doing what you're supposed to do. 2. He bad mouthed his boss on the wire.

He's as good as shelved. Twenty or thirty years ago he'd have been hoping for a conviction because it's safer inside. Today you don't have to worry so much. But he's done. Is he? Guy stood tall. Was previously elevated to capo. Ex ruling panel considered possible future boss potential. The only thing that's changed is he proved his nuts at age 80 that he's prepared to go down with the ship. With the gang that couldn't shoot straight that should increase his already solid credentials, let alone result in a shelving. So I've got to disagree In my humble opinion.

Should probably ask Mr. Kierney. I guess if you're Italian, you should be in prison. I've read the RICO Act, and I can tell you it's more appropriate... for some of those guys over in Washington than it is for me or any of my fellas here

He's loathed by the current administration, Sonny. And guys with much better credentials have been put out to pasture at his age. It would be different if he was still earning. But when you can't bring it in at his age, they'll retire you in a heartbeat. And aside from being universally disliked, he still has to answer for what he said about Tommy on tape. So agree to disagree with me. But you'll see .

What consequences will Asaro face now for bad-mouthing his boss? He was already basically retired so he can't be shelved , apparently he's broke so he can't get taxed, whats going to happen to him? Nothing. He can't earn. He can't show his face at his old haunts. No one wants anything to do with him. That's his punishment. And for a lifetime wiseguy, that's as bad as it gets.

hopefully for his sake his daughter and in laws can take care of him. i usually goto aqueduct twice a year, wouldnt have surprised me if he was there today. maybe ill run into him, even though i wouldnt be able to tell him apart from any guy there lol. if he owns his house in ozone park he should sell it and head south. single family houses are like a quarter mill plus out there...shit..maybe even half a mill
