joey merlino wanted him dead after the war but ralph natale kept him alive because the gambinos reached out to ralph and got him a pass. Ralph kept two guys alive ron previte and joe stanfa. He should have let joey kill ronnie but ralph and later on in 1998 joey were too greedy the guy had no loyalty alot of guys would not deal with ronnie like steve but stanfa, ralph and then joey were all too greedy
