Yes, he had a real air of authenticity in all of those clips he made for the documentaries and TV shows. One of my favorites: He called on Paul Castellano and his people to warn them not to take vengeance on (I think it was ) Joe Pistone. He gave a good description of Castellano's people--he called them "the jebeeps, with their gold chains..." Castellano agreed. Then, Coffey said, Castellano invited him to his daughter's wedding. "Are you f*****g nuts?" Coffey replied. His expression when recounting this tale was priceless.
