Hi A-Girl. I'm doing ok. It's been around 100 as far as I know. Yea, pretty hot. I've heard reports of another El Nino (I think they call it Godzilla) coming to the West Coast. Supposedly would get rid of our drought. That's great, as long as it doesn't get rid of people, homes,etc. If I've learned anything the 37 yrs I've been in CA, it's the weather is always exaggerated. I guess so much sunshine, that weathermen/women are dying for something BIG to report.

TIS that is so true. Sometimes, another perfect sunny and warm day in the southland gets old. Give us some variety. We don't want El Niño, just some showers once a week to get us out of this terrible drought.

There are signs up all over here telling us to limit water use. I have never seen so many brown lawns since I have been living here. How about over near you?

True A-Girl. The park I go to every morning for my run recently put up a sign on grass saying "Recycled water in the morning. Bodily contact prohibited." Makes me wonder, what about people who bring dogs for a walk. What does that mean?
Anyway, first time I've seen that.

Overcast, but really warm and muggy!

It's suppose to be in mid 80s today but it's only about 65 (10:30 a.m.) and overcast. I even have a sweater on. Almost looks like rain. Hmmm Maybe it'll heat up.

Btw, my area is getting warnings of Rattlesnakes? Any in your area? Couple of my neighbors saw a couple. Geez, first coyotes, now Rattlers.

I haven't read or heard about any rattlesnake warnings here. You can never be too careful especially when up in the hills. I can't believe people try to take a selfie with a rattlesnake ever see that

Something new and interesting...
My son said that since the field grass is dying out they are not allowed to play soccer or run on it during recess. It's pretty much off limits. What a shame! The kids can only play on the black top or on the playground.

Pretty soon we may look like Barstow or Arizona. Hopefully, we will get some heavy rains this year to get us out of this drought.

As far as Rattlesnake selfies...you will NEVER...I repeat NEVER see me do that. I'm the one who jumps on the table when i see a mouse. OR a snake. Geez, you'd think I live right in the middle of the boondocks.
I know what it is tho. They are tearing down a portion of the Cleveland Nat'l forest to build houses and I THINK that's bringing some of these critters ( ) out.

Yea I did hear about a guy who took selfie of he and snake and got bitten. Geez, ya think?? LOL

I'm with you TIS. I'm very afraid of snakes. They have had snake warning signs permanently posted at every park over here for years but luckily I haven't seen a snake yet. Once they start building homes, you're right, all the poor animals have to find somewhere else to go. Hopefully, far away from you and your neighbors.

Our town looks pretty awful with all the grass dying out so it is great that they are recycling water over by you.

Probably a few degrees hotter in Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills than here in Westminster/Huntington Beach. Still past 80 degrees though and it's almost 8:30 in the evening. Haven't seen any snakes, but there's plenty of lizards.

77 degrees right now it's a lil past midnight. El Niño está aquí. At least you have the ocean breeze to cool your area down. That really helps. We have a ton of lizards over here too. One is named Steve lol that's what my kids call him.

Suppose to get to 103 today & tomorrow and stay pretty warm all week. I heard a cool down (in the 80s) by next week. I always consider September a summer month (unlike MI when it started cooling down).

As you can imagine, it's BIG news. I can imagine the freeway is at a crawl. People don't handle rain well here. Ha ha ha.

Heard thunder a few minutes ago, but no rain so far.

Still, it's HOT and humid.

It still is thundering like crazy here. The rain finally stopped. It's nice and dark in my room so I was thinking about taking a cat nap.

You are so right-- People out here panic when it rains. The freeways must be a mess. Glad I'm not out there driving on them

Well, the showers arrived about ten minutes ago, went heavy, lightening up and now on the way out.

Poured in Staten Island but nothin out in Eastern LI

Nothin in Brooklyn but Queens and Nassau got it good too.

Hot as hell today.

It didn't last long did it? It's still gloomy and temps lowered to the 80s, so that's good.
