I don't care for that "lady", but I do agree for my own reasons.

Sammy is a psychopath who would probably kill again were he released. He might have an impulsive addiction to killing. And that has nothing to do with whether he goes legit or not. He could go legit and exit all illicit activities and still end up killing someone simply because he couldn't resist.
