I just finished watching the recently released (original 1933 version) "King Kong" DVD extra disk. If you're a fan of this movie you MUST buy this set!!( I bought the 3 movie set which includes "King Kong", "Son of Kong" and "Mighty Joe Young").

The picture quality on all movies is superb ("King Kong" has been restored and remastered) and the sound is clean and crisp (as far as mono sound goes).

The biggest and unexpected surprise for me was seeing a re-created version of some lost footage from "King Kong". There's about 45 seconds worth of the famous "spider" scene that has been dutifully re-created and its amazing to see how that was done. The rest of the extra disk is pure heaven for any fan.

I got the 3 movie (4 disk) set at Best-Buy for $29. I'd highly recommend it to any classic movie fan.
