I don't know but scott said on his site that Steve mazzone met with Dom grande and nicedemeo the night before the hit and the feds were trying to bring Joey into the murder. That's why I think it was given the go ahead but these two maybe it was arrogrance or stupidity thought they could get away with it Dom grande had a gun and a mask with him that's why I am unsure if it was a just spur of the moment type thing.
