Pmac, it depends on what part of the state your from.
I'd say the Southwestern area is really tri-state. Anywhere else is pretty New England-ish.
He's speaking in mob terms. Traditionally, from Bridgeport on down, you answered to New York. And the demarcation line has crept up to include most of New Haven.
Tony was very well respected, and well liked, too (the two rarely go hand-in-hand in that life). So New York lived with the status quo. But now that he's gone, and with the Sicilians clearly in charge, Stamford is going to be completely divvied up by the Bronx and Westchester crews. I wouldn't even be shocked to see a Jersey guy looking around up there.
