PB, why was carmine chased or told to leave?
I've heard a few versions. But I honestly believe that it was personal. Pete chased him over the divorce, and he probably shouldn't have been made to begin with.

Yes, over something that happened at HB and something else. And it's true. But at the end of the day, my personal belief is that the Gambinos could have just slapped him on the wrist and that Peter didn't put up much of a fight because of the divorce.
Not that it matters, because once Peter went away and the Gottis finally lost control of the day-to-day (even though Peter was still listed as official boss for a few more years), they may have ended up chasing him anyway. Because he's a moron.
