Nah, he's brand new here. How could he?

Anyway, Wahoo's dead. I say let him rest in peace. I'm CERTAIN that the other Bronx posters---and longtime posters in general---feel the same way.

Yes, I am a new member but as I have stated, I am also a long time reader so I am well aware that you are a quality poster, especially when it pertains to The Bronx. I respect your knowledge PB and If you don't mind, may I send you a private message?

P.S. out of all of the neighborhood (CC, TN, PB) pizzerias what is your favorite, Louie and Ernie's, Tommy's or other? Sorry for changing the topic of this thread but with your username, I just had to ask lol

Favorite mobster from the Bronx, I would have to say Mariano Marsalisi, a powerhouse who had many connections, and was low key. Pizzeria? Emilios is good but there was a great spot south of Serrino near the harbor about ten years ago.

If you are referring to Emilio's pizzeria in Morris Park then I agree that the pizza is very good, he also had one on Gramatan Avenue in Mount Vernon next to Cafe Europa but he was a big gambler and ended up selling it. I am not sure if he has also sold the one on Morris Park Avenue and the new owner decided to keep the name of it or if his son has taken it over when he left for Italy after splitting with his wife.

As for Emilio's pizza on East Tremont Avenue in Throggs Neck, I have not eaten there in a very long time so i will not comment on its food but i do know that it has no connection to Emilio Palmieri who was the owner of the other 2 that I have mentioned above.

Also, I apologize for bringing up a topic that does not pertain to the subject of this thread. Please bare with me as I get the hang of this. Thanks you and enjoy your day pal.

P.S. Emilio is not mobbed up in the least bit but I do have a funny story about him that does involve a mob member. I may feel comfortable sharing it if and when I speak to a board member in private to learn a bit about posting on here.

I'm sorry, but I've disabled the feature and no longer accept PMs. Between the occasional troll and possible law enforcement, you have to be very careful here.

I've posted that Louie and Ernie's is my favorite local pizzeria at least twenty times here over the years. But you're new, so you couldn't possibly know that. Good guess, though.

My username has nothing to do with pizza. When I signed up, almost nine years ago, "There's Something About Mary" was on the television in the background. The scene when Norm was still pretending to be an Englishman, and Matt Dillon blurts out "Tell her the truth, pizza boy!"

Anyway, at the very moment I was prompted for a username, that's when the Dillon line came out. And Pizzaboy sounded like as good a name as any.

Oh NO...PB. Not ANOTHER one of your fans.

Very odd this new posters interest, geography wise and interacting with you with one of his first posts...

No need to apologize PB, everyone is entitled to their privacy and I completely understand and respect yours. I am only curious if you knew any of my family members since we have both lived in the same neighborhood, but I do not feel comfortable sharing that information on here. Maybe sometime in the future, no big deal though.

It was just an educated guess simply because Louie and Ernie's is by far the best pizzeria (in my opinion) in the neighborhood. You may just end up saying to me "you're a planet itself" if u ever find out the amount of slices that I consume. lol

And with all due respect, I still prefer to pretend that the root of your username has to do with food instead of a movie as I would choose pizza over "There's Something About Mary" any day of the week. lol

That was a good movie. I wouldn't compare it to pizza, but it was pretty damn funny

Fan? No, that is an innacurate assumption blackjack. I just give credit when and where its due. I am very knowledgable myself but I am also not arrogant therefore I didn't join a board with my chest poked out and intentions to start boasting like I run the show. I prefer to be a humble human being. Enjoy your day.

If you are a long time reader as you say, then I'm sure you've noticed the troublesome posters that pop up here fairly often who focus on the bx and genovese. As the saying goes, Everyone is a suspect. I hope you turn out to be cool. I'm open to new people personally

Never been big on pizza. However I love Philly Cheese Steaks. Any idea where I can get a good one?

L&E? I find that kind of interesting. You know there use to be a vender that made brick style pizza at 2E 169th st. Don't know if he still makes them there or not but it is worth checking on.

I don't have a favorite mobster but if this came down to popular vote surely Joey Merlino would win.

The amount of people that verbally suck that man off is something else.

I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

I'm gonna go ahead and agree with that choice. Alo was such a serious presence in NY that he might as well have been a boss. Outlived everybody and died wealthy. Dino Cellini is another interesting guy. He was all over the place. Him and his brother Eddie were everything in Cuba and the Bahamas. Almost all of those Lansky players were on a whole different level.

The guy I would like to nominate is Moe Dalitz. I liked how he was able to transform himself from a hoodlum to one of the most respected aristocrats in Las Vegas. I almost can't think of any other hoodlum who did it quite like that. Maybe Joe Kennedy.

yeah, old joe kennedy, gianacana used to say he was the biggest crook he ever knew. and its been said he was very close to frank Costello, ive read where the mob wanted to whack old joe, and he went to Costello to get it cancelled. kennedy owned the merchandise mart in Chicago, a city block long shopping center, I always wondered if he was kicking some of the profits back to the outfit,

my choice favorite gangster..... frank Costello, hands down.

" watch what you say around this guy, he's got a big mouth" sam giancana to an outfit soldier about frank Sinatra. [ from the book "my way"
