The whole idea of the UK benefitting from an overwhelming influx of (non-english speaking) foreign nationals was based on the assumption of integration and it simply hasn't happened.
It's been like that in New York for the past twenty years or so. The "new" immigrant groups refuse to speak the language and expect Americans to cater to
them. All four of my grandparents came here while they were in their 20's. And by the time they died they all spoke "passable" English, and they were proud of it. The "new" breed of immigrant doesn't embrace America the way the first wave did at Ellis Island (1880-1920). It's sickening.
