Decavs dont need their permission to make/ wack guys in their on fam right? I dont recall Scarfo clearing any of his wild killings with Bobby Manna at the time although I guess since the Gambinos and the Decavs are so close may be different
Historically the decaves had to circulate names of proposed members with the five families before they could make them. Also at some point they were banned from making members from NY.
On a side note with the Gambinos having this other fam under their wing, how would you guys hypothetically rank the NY fams in terms of power? I would guess Genovese pry still number one, but maybe Gambinos 2 now and Lucchese's 3? Just speculation obviously Im curious what the knowledgeable NY posters would say if this new info changes the power hierarchy among the 5 families?
Its always been Genovese 1, Gambino 2, Luchese 3. Dont see that ever changing.
