Just to clarify for me Ivy, does that suggest to you that the Decavs are no longer viable as an independent family? As far as I understood it, the annexation of the remnant Trafficante family by the Gambinos happened after the Floridians had ceased to function as a recognisable LCN organisation?

Ivy can speak for himself but it seems he was just making a general comparison. the recent indictment shows they still have a full administration and several deferent crews operating in nj, so theyre still their own family, nowhere near the state the trafficantes were in. it seems to be a much more comparable situation to how the philly family lead by scarfo were "under" the Genovese, and before him with Bruno being under Gambino. this dynamic between the gambinos and decaves goes back to Gotti's authority over Riggi, and even further back to carlo Gambino and decavalcante.
