wow, what a smart definition! Yes, I think she has always wanted to be a "earthy" actress, very Italian, very Neapolitan... Anyway, she really was terrific in her Best Actress Academy Award role as a mother (she was only 27) in "Two Women" (in Italian, "La ciociara", directed by Vittorio De Sica). I strongly recommand to watch this movie, if you did not.
