Patty was Angelo's cousin. He died real young. Natural causes. A real tough guy, but a nice guy too. Their uncle was a made guy (Rudy Prisco). Wikipedia has Rudy listed as Ange's father, but that's nonsense.

Too young. Vinny's a few weeks younger than I am. The only guy in our age group that was around the Purple Gang was Barney. And that's only because Barney has always been a special case in just about everything he ever accomplished, which is A LOT.
Plus, Vinny Basciano grew up in Yonkers. He only moved to the Bronx when he got married. But he lived here for many, many years after, so he's usually thought of as a native Bronx guy. It doesn't matter. Yonkers is just north of the Bronx, anyway. And being from Yonkers didn't hold Vinny back, that's for sure.
