Was John alite a made guy with the Gambinos? Surely if he was only an associate he wasn't as important as the show made him out to be
Alite was albanian. Just because he was an associate doesn't mean he wasn't an earner. Look at people like Joe Watts, Murray Humpreys, Jake Guzik...those guys were pretty much bosses. Other associates took orders from them. Most of the mob is made up of associates anyways...thats where most of the money comes in from, I don't think a lot of people understand the importance of associates and associates who are earners...Look at Carmine Franco...Hes a millionaire many times over.
